After 10 years of working in industry, I’m engaging in a gap year(s?) to pursue interests full-time
Currently studying mandarin Chinese at International Chinese Language Program, a school based at National Taiwan University. By end of summer 2026, my target is to attain a B2 language level, which I understand as the fluency of a native high-school graduate.
I’m also exploring the practice of breath holding, with a mind toward improving my freediving capabilities (diving deep while holding my breath). This basically means improving my cardio and doing a lot of exhaled breath holds. Every few months, I travel to somewhere warm with ocean access and dive to 40m or so.
